Green things

A bold approach to colour: the client wanted to highlight a much loved
photo hanging above an open fireplace. This zesty green “Sapling” by
Albany paints worked well to accentuate the picture and create a feature wall. The remaining walls and ceiling were painted in Dulux Gooseberry Fool no6 – a softer complimentary green.

A little warmth in Kingston

After beautiful new wooden floors were laid it was time for a room colour change. The Fired Earth shade Madder Red contrasts the white beautifully and harmonises well with the warmth of both the wood furniture and floors. I really enjoyed this project as the client was willing to try a very bold colour and different approach. Even with an imagined idea on how it would look the end result proved so unexpectedly satisfying!

Home decorated in Morden

The key to a good finish is the preparation beforehand. It is encouraging as to what can be accomplished with quality fillers, a good opacity  emulsion and an eggshell finish as shown below.
